It is another RADIO JAVALI- show.
It is the little sister of RADIO JAVALI’S PONYXPRESS- show.
It is for adult listeners, but being childish enough for not to believe too much in digital BPM( bullshit per minute) or EDM.
It is IDM(intelligent dance music).
The future is analog and pineapple on pizza is toast Hawai and not a pizza.
It is DIY- made with the kitchen as the studio, recorded and edited with open source on a small raspberry pi and notcasted with mixcloud.
That’s it!
„Food is for life / and life I will show you
If you’re havin’ problems/ I invite you here
Step into my kitchen /we will cook away your fears“
by Michael Franti from his „Red beans and rice“
1st KITCHENxPRESS is here: https://www.mixcloud.com/michaelbittl/kitchenxpress/
RADIO JAVALI’S KITCHENXPRESS is the little sister of RADIO JAVALI’S PONYXPRESS. Haha, but it’s only about 45 – 90minutes long and will probably be offered every two weeks. Why?
PONYXPRESS usually runs for over two hours and always focuses on a specific theme, making the music selection quite elaborate to prepare. KITCHENXPRESS is planned relatively spontaneously and offers glimpses into my huge music library. I’m usually looking for something specific and then stumble across something awesome that I’d completely forgotten about. And then, of course, there are new releases that I’ve discovered myself, or a band has sent me their latest release, and I play some of that. And why KITCHENXPRESS? Quite simply, I love to cook (almost exclusively vegetarian, rustic Italian cuisine) and listen to great music while I do it. And some of that kitchen music now ends up in KITCHENXPRESS. I won’t be handing out any recipes here, but I will tell you what I’m currently cooking, and sometimes you can find the recipe on my blog EATYOURSMARTPHONE, which I recently started. It’s here:

Okay, enough rambling.
The music of the intro is of the same band playing the intro for the PONYXPRESS: ART JACKSONS ATROCITY from their CD:The Unreleased 1978 Impulse! Sessions, the song is: North by Northwest.
Next part of the intro is the uncredible Michael Franti, rapping about RED BEANS AND RICE.
Third part of the intro is a short report about a legendary punk rock concert in Bologna from 1979, when the Italian punk rock band SKIANTOS, instead of playing music, cooked spaghetti with tomato sauce on stage, then ate and left: wow that was real punk!

Food and music share many similarities, including the fork as a common tool: the fork we use for eating and the tuning fork we use to tune our musical instruments. Aura Satz explores and performs sounds, tones, our way of hearing, speaking, singing, and making music, and also creates sculptures, photographs, and films on the subject. Here is an image from her work:
